B I O G R A P H Y BROCKHOFF: Frederick Henry Brockhoff passed away in the Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Fred was predeceased by his wife Ida, on June 12, 1998. Fred will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children: Henry Brockhoff and Linda Martin both of Lloydminster; Carla (Peter) Geres of Saskatoon; Glen (Teri) Brockhoff of Neilburg; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many numerous relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the Neilburg Community Hall, Neilburg, Saskatchewan on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ted Haas officiating. A loving eulogy was given by two of his grandchildren Deanne Thorhaug and Armand Brockhoff. Hymns sung, accompanied by organist, Marcie Park were “Amazing Grace,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” The Mennonite Choir beautifully sang “Shall We Gather at the River.” Honorary pallbearers were his many friends. Active pallbearers were his grandchildren: Koreen Geres-Codd, Kevin Martin, Pam Martin, Jordan Brockhoff, Deanne Thorhaug, Armand Brockhoff , Carlton Brockhoff, Debbie Brown and Calvin Geres. Interment followed in the Wycollar Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of the late Fred Brockhoff would sincerely like to thank the following: Dr. T. Kerlis and the Lloydminster Nursing Staff, Dr. Howard-Tripp and the Maidstone Nursing Staff, the Maidstone Pine Island Lodge Staff for their kindness and care given to our Dad. Our gratitude to Pastor Ted Haas for his words of comfort and service to our family, to the Mennonite Choir, to Marcie Park, our organist, to Jean Ball for the tape of Dad’s music, to Pat at Grower Direct, to the Manitou Pioneers Museum Board for the lovely lunch and to Dale and Staff at McCaw Funeral Home for the compassionate care they always give. A special thank you to all our friends and relatives who sent cards, food, flowers, for the visits and the phone calls and to those who helped in any way. Many thanks for the donations made in memory of Dad. Your support and thoughtfulness will not soon be forgotten. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wycollar Cemetery Fund.
