B I O G R A P H Y SUTHERLAND (nee Carson): Lois died peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital on January 2, 2005 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by: her loving companion Alan Stewart, of Lashburn, SK; four children: Dr. Lyle Sutherland (Janie) of Aiken, S.C; Carolyn (Errol) Dennison of Calgary, AB; Dale (Clifford) Miskey of Edmonton, AB; Calvin (Lavern) Sutherland of Edmonton, AB; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother Earl (Verna) Carson of Lashburn, as well as sisters–in-law Ina Corker (Lloydminster) and Audrey Hardy (Lashburn) from her marriage to Lloyd Sutherland, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. A memorial service for Lois was conducted at McCaw Funeral Chapel January 5, 2005 with Joyce Carson officiating and Doreen Plant giving the eulogy. Special music requested by mom was sung by the Lloydminstrals accompanied on the organ by Anne Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were all those attending. The urn bearer was Ilston Plant. Lois led a very active and productive life. She was fun loving, creative, talented and cherished her family and friendships. She exhibited a zest for life and will be sadly missed. Card of Thanks The family wishes to thank Mary and Harold Holtby, Ina Corker, Mom’s doctors, nurses, memorial service personnel, including the ladies who prepared lunch, everyone who sent cards or flowers and made donations to various causes in Mom’s names as well as McCaw Funeral Service for all they so professionally did with care and understanding. The Sutherland Families Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
