B I O G R A P H Y CHAMPAGNE: Joseph Raoul "Ralph" Champagne passed away in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, November 29, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Ralph is survived by: his loving wife Suzie of Lloydminster; his step-sister Irene and her husband Vic of Penticton; his step-brother Bill and his wife Muriel of Summerland; his sister-in-law Theresa LeGoffe of Blaine Lake as well as numerous other relatives. Prayer services for Ralph were conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 7:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial for Ralph was conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Adam Lech officiating. A eulogy was given by Donald LeGoffe. A duet was sung by Bruce Holland and Jewel Holland. Marlene Risling was leader of songs accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. Active pallbearers were: Lionel LeGoffe, Robert LeGoffe, Jack Purificati, Donald LeGoffe, John Lang and Vern Holland. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of the late Ralph Champagne thanks all that supported us during our time of bereavement. Many thanks to Dr. Cavanagh for making Ralph’s last days as comfortable as possible. Notes of thanks also go to Marlene Risling and Donna Weston for their musical talents, they were very much appreciated; to Father Lech for his spiritual care; to Edna Hodgson for doing the readings; to the ladies of St. Anthony’s CWL who prepared the lunch for the funeral; to all who sent cards and flowers, who have and will make donations to charities chosen; to the staff at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre who took such good care of Ralph for us; to the many friends who have been of comfort to us and to those who took time to be at the prayer and funeral services. A very special thank you goes out to Bruce and Jewel Holland for their songs of inspiration. As well, our gratitude goes out to Dave, Glenn and Dale McCaw and staff at McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. who guided us through the many decisions that needed attention at a most difficult time. Your kindness and caring is appreciated and will not be forgotten. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Diabetic Association the Dr. Cooke Patient Comfort Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
