Obituary of Dwight Mockford

Please share a memory of Dwight to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dwight Mockford. Dwight was born December 17, 1957 and lived most of his life in Saskatoon. In 1979, he married Vickie, the love of his life. Together they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He was always busy renovating the house, building garages, and building a cabin. These experiences helped him develop the skills and expertise he had as a home estimator with the Co-op in both Saskatoon and Turtleford. Dwight worked for the Saskatoon Co-Op for over 35 years. He and Vickie retired to the lake and built their dream log home. After 2 years of retirement He went to work at Turtleford Co-op where he continued to share his expertise and create new friendships. He was always close by with a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Everyone around him felt his infectious laugh, usually carried after his sharp wit that we all knew so well. Dwight lived to hunt, he looked forward to the fall every year, it was his favorite time. He loved to be out in the bush whether it was getting stuck in the muddy trails, fixing up his tree stand or just going for a leisurely ride down the fire guard. There were many great memories made on the quad trips they took each year with close friends. The grandchildren were the twinkle in Dwight's eye. He loved being able to take them on the quad and the boat. He wanted to show them and have them experience all the things that he loved. He always looked forward to spending time with them. Dwight is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Lucy Mockford and his brother, Ken Mockford. He leaves to mourn his wife Vickie, children Bradley (Erin) Mockford, Calvin Mockford, Teri (Chad) Thomson, grandchildren, Lila, Carina and Soren Mockford, Brayden and Greyson Thomson, sisters, Gloria (Dave) Armstrong, Marlene (Pete)Woronowski, Lynn(Barry) Bentley, Wendy (Dean) Kindt and sister-in-law Sharon Mockford and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very heart felt thank-you to everyone for all of the love and support they’ve received during this time.
