Alice was much more than a treasured friend . Alice was like a sister to me. She had one huge caring heart. Since my husband passed away 4 1/2 years ago now she rarely missed a week where she didn’t call me. We talked and talked, laughed, sometimes cried and talked some more and before we knew it an hour or more had passed. Having both been teachers and close friends for so many years, we reminecised about times gone by and experiences shared. Alice also had a deep and abiding faith and love for the Lord and longed for others to come to know the love of Jesus. We may have been miles apart but we were so very close in heart. I already miss her more than words can say.
I received the following quote from another friend the day I learned that Alice had gone to her heavenly home. It read -
“Many people will walk in and out of your life. But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
.,,and Alice left so many in my heart - too many to count!
