Obituary of Neil Bettcher

Neil Derek Bettcher passed away peacefully after a long illness at Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone, SK on April 1, 2025 at the age of 71 years.

Neil leaves to mourn: his brother, Gordon (Carol); sister, Jean (Eugene); niece, Andrea (Rhod); nephews, Chris (Laura) and Marc (Tanya); and numerous extended family and friends.

Neil was predeceased by: his parents, John and Jessie Bettcher.

In his young life he enjoyed many sports including, hockey, soccer, football, baseball and track. Neil was an avid reader. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman and used canoes and boats. Neil was a member of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, a driller in the oilfields of Albert and the Arctic of Northern Canada. He also enjoyed farming with his Dad for many years and worked with Wayne and Gloria Fehr. 

A Family Graveside Service will be held at Maidstone Cemetery, Maidstone, SK.

Donations in memory of Neil may be made to Maidstone Health Complex - Pine Island Lodge.
