Connie Donald

Obituary of Connie Donald

Connie Donald peacefully passed away on April 12, 2025 in Maidstone Pine Island Lodge. Connie was born on September 17, 1934 to Roland and Amy Pike in Maidstone, where she spent her childhood alongside her siblings Joan and Jack.

Connie's life was marked by love and dedication. She met her soulmate, Laurie, in high school and they have shared a beautiful life together since their marriage in 1953. Together they established a grain farm south of Maidstone, welcoming their children, Bob, Blair and Shelley into the world. After forty years of farming, they retired to embrace a life travel.

Connie was passionate about many activities: she enjoyed bowling, golfing, curling and cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Jays. Every winter she looked forward to traveling to Hawaii and Yuma and she cherished time at their cabin at Loon Lake. As a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, Connie could always be found at the rink or ball field cheering on the kids.

She is survived by: her devoted husband, Laurie; her son, Bob; daughter-in-law, Brenda; and son-in-law, Doug (Boone).

Connie was also cherished by: her grandchildren, Marty (Stephanie), Kyle (Brandi), Danny, Danielle (Michael), Alex (Stephanie), Randi (Cody), Ally (Matt) and Chris; as well as her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zennon, Zack, Tristan, Malia, Blaire, Griffin, Jaxson, Hayden, Eli, Sylas, Harper and Harlow.

Connie was predeceased by: her parents, Amy and Roland; her brother, Jack; her sister, Joan; her son, Blair; and her daughter, Shelley.

The pallbearers will be Connie’s grandsons.
