Daryl Davidson

Obituary of Daryl Davidson

Edward Daryl Davidson passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on April 15, 2025 at the age of 85 years.

A proud farmer through and through, he found joy in the simple things - working the land, caring for his cows, and taking his truck for a quiet drive. His love for the game, whether it was hockey, ball or cheering from the sidelines, never faded. What truly lit up his world was his family.

He was the proudest dad to his four children and an even prouder grandfather. There was nothing he loved more than watching his grandchildren grow, especially when they were playing sports. His support was unwavering and his pride was immeasurable.

He was the loving husband of Shirley, his beloved wife of 60 years, whom he affectionately referred to as “Mother.” Their bond was deep, built on decades of laughter, partnership and quiet strength.

He had a laugh that could light up a room and a quick wit that stayed sharp until the very end. His presence was comforting, his advice steady and his heart immeasurable.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing he left a legacy of love, integrity and resilience. We will carry his memory with us always - on every drive, in every game and in the laughter he gifted us.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Daryl is survived by: his loving wife, Shirley Davidson; sons, Edward (Teena Appleton) and Dean; daughters, Lorelei (Wade) Pugh and Tannis; grandchildren, Devon (Brittany) Davidson, Lorne (Nicole) Davidson, Bailie (Darek) Shindle, Desirae (Jon) Stark, Taylor (Jordon) Lively; Mason (Shelby) Halcro, Sara Halcro (Kobe); Josh, Kylie, Kaden and Joel Davidson; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Evelyn Davidson, Zoe Briault, Lucas Davidson, Brantley, Benson and Aubrey Shindle; and Catalia Stark; brother, Wayne (Karen) Davidson; sister, Gail (Lionel) Lorenz; and sister-in-law, Vera (Bob) Flath.
