Larry Harry Hill passed away at Onion Lake, Saskatchewan on October 5, 2025 at the age of 57 years.
Larry Harry Hill was born on June 7, 1968 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan to (the late) Arsene and Josephine Hill (nee: Moochewienes).
In 1972, at 4 years of age, Larry returned home after a lengthy stay at the Royal University Hospital and was raised by his grandmother, Adelaide. She spoiled him and treated him with special affection as her "notiko pamihakan" (kokom's boy). Larry had a deep love for his step-children, especially his grandchildren with whom he shared a special bond. Although Larry did not have any biological children, he took his nieces and nephew Travis as his own and took pride in raising his two granddaughters, Nova and Tavia, whom he affectionately referred to as his "baby girls".
Larry’s best friend was his bro, Kai, who was always by his side; they were inseparable and did everything together. Larry's grandchildren will miss their "mosom" dearly, as he was an integral part of their everyday lives.
Larry was an outdoorsman who loved hunting with his buddies. He often provided his hunted meat to those in need and donated soups and meat for wakes and funerals. Not only did he feed families, but he also ensured his dogs were well-fed and even bought food for the birds. He was known for making the best dried meat. He was a dedicated provider for his whole family.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Larry enjoyed playing pool and won many tournaments. He worked as a contractor and security for Housing and was very skilled in carpentry. Larry was a deeply beloved companion, grandpa, step-father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Larry is survived by: his mother, Josephine; siblings, Sandra Moochewienes, Karen Moochewienes, Barry Hill, Dale Hill, Sandy Hill, Steven (Tammy) Hill and Miranda Hill; cousin, Isabel Hill (they teased each other as nicimos); and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
His companion of 19 years, Cindy Carter; step-children, Cory (Audrey), Matthew, Sonia (Eldon), Tiffy (Jermaine), Kayla, Christian and his baby girl, Lakota (Cruz); grandchildren, Nevaeh, Paisley, Auria, Novaleigh, Octavia, Zayn, Esme, Mya, Ella, Sterling, Kai, Alaora, Jansyn and Myrrah.
He was predeceased by: his father, Arsene Hill (1970); stepfather, Nazarus Naytayhow (2013); brothers, Ernest Hill (1970), Tommy Hill (2005); sister, Peggy Hill (2005); paternal grandparents, Joe Hill (1964) and Adeliade Hill (1995); maternal grandparents, Jimmy Moochewienes and Jean Stanley; uncles, George Hill (1964), Jimmy Hill (1989); auntie, Maggie Hill (1969); cousins, Patrick Hill, Christopher Hill; nephews, Tanner Whitstone (2005) and Bradley Hill (2024); and grandchildren, Riley J.
