Kenneth Hardy Obituary

With deep sadness, the family of Ken Hardy announces his passing at the age of 83 on Friday, January 30th. He left this world surrounded by his family and the old country music he loved.

Ken was a true cowboy who lived a long, full life marked by highs and lows, countless stories, and many accomplishments. He leaves behind his greatest legacy—his family.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 57 years, Jean; his daughter, Alana (Dean); grandson, Cole (McKenzy); great‑granddaughters, Presley and Nora; great‑granddaughter, Kaylie (her mom, Lyrissa); grandson Cody; and great‑grandson, Arlo; his son, Warren (Valerie); grandsons, Jackson (Jenna) and Ryder; his daughter, Waneta; granddaughter, Victoria (Aidan); great‑grandsons Abel, Cedric and Leo; grandson Tristan;and great‑grandson, Malakai.

Ken was predeceased by: his great‑granddaughter, Juliet.

As per Ken’s wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Instead, the family will honour him by spreading his ashes in the mountains this summer.

For now, we take comfort in knowing that those who went before him were waiting— that he is out there somewhere, roping steers with the cowboys who rode ahead. But most of all, we picture his great‑granddaughter Juliet meeting him, taking him by the hand, and saying, “Come on, Grandpa. Now it is our time.”

Donations in memory of Ken may be made to Lady Minto Health Care Centre.
