It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Afseth on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Maidstone, Saskatchewan.

Bill was born in Delisle, SK on May 4, 1940. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1964. He taught for 28 years at Maidstone High School and retired in 1992. He spent the majority of his retirement enjoying lake life at Turtle Lake, SK. 

Bill is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Sharen Afseth; children, Michelle (Michael), Janyne (Sandra) and Cameron (Terri); grandchildren, Heather (Matt), Matthew (Erica), Dylan, Macey (Damian), Brendon, Bailee and Bree; and one great-granddaughter, Madison. 

The Afseth family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Spangenberg and the wonderful and caring nurses, housekeeping, kitchen and lab staff at the Maidstone Health Complex. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. 

As per Bill's wishes, no service will be held.
