My beloved Emily,
Though your earthly journey has come to rest, your spirit lives on in the quiet light that continues to guide and comfort us.
You were a devoted mother-in-law to my daughter, and so much more—a woman of strength, warmth, and unwavering faith. You carried a gentle peace within you, paired with a wonderful sense of humour that could lift even the heaviest of days. Your presence made people feel safe, seen, and cared for.
You loved deeply and lived fully—finding joy in writing and drawing, in the simple freedom of driving, and in the beauty and peace of your farm. Those places and passions were reflections of your soul: calm, creative, and full of life.
Your greatest love was your family—your two sons, their wives especially my daughter married to your son Marvin, and your six. precious grandchildren. In them, your legacy continues to grow, carried forward in every laugh, every kindness, and every shared memory.
Though our hearts ache with your absence, we hold tightly to the love you gave so freely. It surrounds us still, soft and steady, like a whisper of peace.
And in the quiet moments, we remember the words you lived by, the words that now guide us forward:
“One day at a time.”

Emily was such a hard-working woman, a great friend and volunteer but mostly a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. I had a lot of respect for her and my daughters, Meagan and Sierra, sure loved their Grandma. I hope you're with Bert now. Julie Welsh

I’m sorry to have to miss Mrs. Welsh’s service. She was a special lady and I have wonderful memories of her at the PV fair and once at our farm. May God give you peace and comfort as life will be different without her smiling face.
