Mary Jean Schapansky Obituary

Mary Jean Schapansky passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in Lloydminster Hospital on Sunday, April 5th, 2026, at the age of 80 years.


Mary Jean lived a full and meaningful life and leaves behind countless cherished memories for those who knew and loved her.


She will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Rick Schapansky (Carmen), Lori Hart, Leanne Taylor (Stephen) and Ryan Schapansky (Nieva).


Mary Jean was a proud grandmother to: Pamela Eggen (Tyler), Cody Hart (Ashley), Brayden Hart (Kimberly), Briana Blakeney (Tyrone), Shallan French (Jordan), Kyera French (Lucas), Jade Schapansky (Nathan), Josie Schapansky (Fionn) and Erick Schapansky.


She was also blessed with: her great-grandchildren, Brielle and Makynlee Eggen, Braxton and Bexley Hart, and Maverick and Avery Hart.


She is survived by: her sister, Betty Barkway (Bob); sisters-in-law, Gloria Sheremata and Sharon Fuller; and brother-in-law, Bud Krestianson (Alice).


She also leaves behind: her step-father-in-law, Herman Martin.


Mary Jean will be fondly remembered by the parents of her grandchildren: Jeanette Sunshine, Ronnie Hart, Curtis French, and Robyn Raque. She held a special place in her heart for her dear friends: Elaine, Dennis, Adele, Anne, Betty, Diane, Janet, and Louise, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.


Mary Jean was predeceased by: her beloved husband, Tom Schapansky; her daughter, Lana Schapansky; her parents, Fred and Ruth Fuller; her sister, June Fuller; her brother, Bill Fuller; niece, Ashley Krestianson; her parents-in-law, John Schapansky and Ruby Martin; and her brother-in-law, Bob Schapansky.

Donations can be made to the Cancer Lodge in Saskatoon or the donor’s choice in lieu of flowers.


Funeral to be held in Shellbrook at a later date, as we come together to honour a life now resting in the presence of Jesus.
