So sorry to hear of Mr. S’s passing. He was a great teacher! I have many fond memories in his class. The “sick line” was a great idea! I should’ve used it my classroom too as a teacher. Praying for you all during this difficult time.

My thoughts go out to you all during this time. As a young intern and teacher, Sam was always supportive of me and his mentorship developed into a lifelong friendship. His dry wit and unique worldview was always entertaining and meant that our conversations were always interesting. Sam made a very positive impact on so many people.

Sending sincere condolences to your family. We appreciated Sam as a teacher and driver instructor for our kids. We always enjoyed running into him around Lashburn as he took time for a chat and was sincerely interested in everything around town. Your dad was so proud of all of you.

Mr.S was one of my most favorite teachers as well as my kids favorite. I so enjoyed visiting with him at the credit union or post office once in a while. He always remembered me and my kids. Quite often his name pops up when talking about driver training. Our deepest sympathy at this sad time.

My condolences to the family.
Sam taught me drivers Education over 45 years ago. And still to this day every now and again his teaching pops into my head. And even when teaching my own children to drive I always referred back to Sam’s teachings.

To Lynn, Jeff, and Joanna: please accept our deepest sympathies on Sam's passing. He was a good friend with a unique sense of humor. The fact that Sam taught hundreds of Lashburn and surrounding communities youth to be safe drivers is a testament to his being. He will be remembered.
