Carol van Ingen Obituary
Carol was born July 24,1949 to Irene and Alvin Perry of Maidstone. She grew up on the farm with her older brother, Allen, her sister, Lois and sister, Debra. After her graduation from high school she took her nurses training at Saskatoon and became a registered nurse. Nursing took her many places in the Okanagan area of BC and then back to the prairies when she wanted to be closer to family and the nephews born to Allen and Darlene. She loved traveling and swimming in lakes or pools. One of her last nursing jobs in Edmonton was home care and she bought a condo in St.Albert where she met the love of her life, Fred van Ingen. They were married on Waikiki beach on February 4, 2005. Fred’s daughters Denize, Cathy and Barb were very welcoming and Carol gained a new family complete with grandchildren and then great grandchildren who called her grandma Carol. Fred and Carol moved to Parksville BC in 2007 and enjoyed life on the island very much.
Carol leaves to mourn: her husband, Fred van Ingen and his daughters, Denize (Allan), Cathy (Kate) and Barb; granddaughter, Renee (Jake) and great-grandchildren Myka, Teah, Eliza, and Silas; grandaughter, Kristen (Dave) and great-granddaughter Ella; and grandaughter, Jennifer (Konnor) and great-grandchildren, William and Robin; brother, Allen Perry, nephews, Brian and David; sister, Lois (Darrell) Prokopetz; sister, Debra (Keith) Sutherland and nephew, Shayne (Janel) and their children Ryan,Sutton and Mila; and nephew, Cole (Chelsey) with their sons, Bryson and Jay (Janayea) and daughter, Julie.
