It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beautiful and beloved June Ellen Ridgewell (Swayze) on April 14, 2026. June was born and raised in Saskatoon,SK.  When she was 15, she met the love of her life, the handsome one, Ken Ridgewell. Together they had a beautiful family and a wonderful life.

June was predeceased by: her husband and best friend Ken; their son, Kelsey; her parents Lloyd & Eugina Swayze; her sisters, Pearl Hawkins & Joanne Kachur.  Missing her are: her children, Kim (Glen) Custer, Kary (Roger) Toews, Karla (Jonathan) O’Regan & Kris (Jess) Ridgewell; her grandchildren, Trystan Galger & Luella O’Regan; her siblings Betty (Gerald), Vivian (Dennis), Ray (Allie), & Irene (Terry); including many other Swayze & Ridgewell family members; as well as Michael & Mark Schlitt.

June was a loving wife and mother. She raised many children while always keeping the cleanest home. She also loved to feed everyone. Big and extended family dinners were common in the Ridgewell home. She had a wonderful laugh & could sometimes be a real cheeky redhead. When there was no longer a large home to care for, mom & dad enjoyed apartment building management. They had great bosses Jim and Kelly. Everywhere they lived was treated like a home and many neighbours became friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

June had a gentle and humble strength that was reinforced by her strong faith in Jehovah and His promise of living forever in paradise on earth. She loved to share this wonderful hope with others.

We appreciate the kindness and respect shown to mom by the EMTs, the Lloydminster Hospital Emergency dept, as well as the many involved at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Many thanks go to Dr. Tinesha Govender, whose care, compassion, and knowledge are so greatly appreciated.

June’s memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1502 49 Avenue Lloydminster, SK on Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 pm. You can also attend via zoom, please see the link below.
