It is with sadness that the family of Daryl Lindsay Macdonald announces his passing on April 29, 2026, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, at the age of 55.


Daryl was born on November 1, 1970, to Don and Helen Macdonald. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Helen Macdonald; sisters, Jennifer (Grant) Janes and Carolyn Macdonald; and his extended family and friends.


Daryl had a soft heart and a dry sense of humour. He will be remembered for his wit, his strength, his resilience, and his deep loyalty to the people he loved.


Karate and the community it created had a big impact on his life. He also enjoyed golfing and building projects. One of his favourite things was watching sports and cheering for the Edmonton Oilers with his family.


Strong and determined, Daryl fought hard and with dignity from the time of his diagnosis until the very end.


Daryl was predeceased by: his father, Don Macdonald.


A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.


In lieu of flowers, donations in Daryl’s memory may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
