Shirley Mae Van Metre passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on May 9, 2026 at the age of 90 years.

Shirley is survived by: her son, John Carson Van Metre; daughter, Laurie (Keven) Parke; grandchildren, Cody Hutchinson and Kalli Keichinger (Garrett); great-grandchildren, Jace and Theo Keichinger; sisters, Audrey McKechnie and Gayle Henschel; sisters-in-law; Myrna Orr and Ethel Newman; brothers-in-law, Russell Newman and Colin Henschel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley is predeceased by: her loving husband, John Van Metre; granddaughter, Kassidy Hutchinson; brothers, Glenn (Vera), Murray, Doug (Mary), Gordon and Neil Orr; sister, Patsy Newman; and brother-in-law, Don McKechnie.

The Funeral Service for Shirley will be conducted from Lashburn Community Hall , Lashburn, SK on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
