Vance King Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vance Edmond King, who left this world surrounded by family.
Vance was born on December 27, 1964, in British Columbia, to his loving parents, Vance and Geraldine King. From an early age, he carried a quiet strength and determination that shaped the way he lived his life.
In 1986, Vance moved to Vanderhoof, British Columbia, to work on an overpass project with the highways. It was there, by chance, that he met the love of his life, Karen Clemmensen. That meeting became the beginning of a lifelong partnership. Over the next 40 years, they built a life rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering support, raising three children and welcoming two precious grandchildren. Their relationship was the heart of a close-knit family that meant everything to him.
Vance was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for his family. He spent many years as a truck driver, a career he truly loved, reflecting his strong work ethic and independent spirit. Known for his kind heart and steady presence, he was someone you could always count on. Above all, he was a devoted family man who showed his love through his actions and always put his family first.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen Clemmensen; his son, Dustin King and his wife, Kendra; his daughters, Dakota King and her husband, Chase, and Brandi Rodrigues and her husband, Mathew; his cherished grandchildren, Kian and Remi.
His bond with his grandson Kian was truly special-they were the best of pals, sharing a connection full of laughter, love, and countless treasured moments. Kian loved his Papa deeply, and that love was returned tenfold.
His granddaughter Remi brought him so much joy. Their connection was filled with love, smiles, and many special moments made while sharing their favourite treats. Remi held a very special place in his heart, and the time they spent together was deeply cherished.
The family would also like to recognize Dakota King for her incredible strength, compassion, and selflessness. She was a constant source of comfort and support, standing by her father’s side and ensuring he was surrounded with love and care through his final days. Her devotion meant more than words can express.
Vance will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. His strength, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family.
A Celebration of Vance’s Life will be held at a later date.
We love you always and forever.”
