Jacob Harry Mason passed away at Onion Lake Elders Lodge, Onion Lake, Saskatchewan on May 24, 2026 at the age of 58 years.

Jacob worked as a firefighter with the Smoke Eaters Team and worked as a mechanic. He had a contagious smile we will miss, all the memories & the laughs we shared will be treasured.

Jacob is survived by: daughters, Felicia (Delvin) Masson, Tennille Masson, Samantha (Jared) Masson and Clarissa (Josh)Mason; sons, Garrett (Lisa) Mason and Bailey Mason; mother of his children, Leona Mason; granddaughters, Faith, Selene, Sherissa, Miyah, Lexis, Alexis, Legacy, Charille, Brailee and Anastasia; grandsons, Pyriel, Mason, Aidan, Ryley, Zage, Noah, Shine, Jared, Maddox, Gio, Brailyn and Delvin Jr; brother, Lazarus (Doreen) Masson; sisters, Muriel (Roger) Lewis, Coreena (Francis) Linklater, Rhonda Paskemin and Deborah Francois; aunts, Sara Masson, Barbara Hunter, Rose Hunter and Violet Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Jacob was predeceased by: his parents, Harry & Christine (nee Hunter) Masson; foster brother, Vincent Chief; uncles, Frank Masson, Joe Masson and Wilfred Masson; aunts, Agnes Stanley, Maggie Cook, Clara Crookedneck and Dora Crookedneck.

The Wake for Jacob will be conducted from Kēhtē-aya-wikamik East Side, Round Hall, Onion Lake, SK on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 12:00PM.

The Funeral and Procession for Jacob will be conducted from Kēhtē-aya-wikamik East Side, Round Hall, Onion Lake, SK on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM and continue to the graveside at United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Saddle Lake, AB.
