Susan Chatman Obituary

With broken hearts and countless treasured memories, we announce the passing of Susan Jennifer Sadie Chatman on May 25, 2026, at the age of 53.

Born on October 24, 1973, in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Susan was the kind of person you never forgot. For the last 20 years, she called Marshall, Saskatchewan home, where she built a beautiful life centered around family, friendship, laughter, and love.

Susan leaves behind: her devoted husband, Patrick Chatman; her children Summer Chatman, Mackenzie Chatman (Samantha) and Brooke Chatman; and her adored grandchildren Eden Lee, Avaeah Chatman, Harper Chatman, Hadley Chatman, Dexton Chatman, and Kynzleigh Chatman who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

She is also lovingly survived by: her brother, Maurice King (Marie); brother-in-law; Carl Pynn; nephew, Lance King (Nicole); nieces, Jill Pynn (Chris) and Laura Janes; she also had a special place in her heart for her great-nephews, Noah, Jacob and William; and great-niece, Hannah; as well as many friends, extended family, and her incredible work family at Boundary Ford.

Susan was predeceased by: her parents, William and Pauline King; and her sisters, Jean Pynn and Peggy Janes.

Susan had a personality that could light up any room she walked into. She was outgoing, spontaneous, funny, and full of life — the kind of woman who could turn an ordinary evening into a story people would talk about for years. She loved deeply, gave generously, and never hesitated to help someone in need. If there was music playing, Susan was singing. If there was an adventure to be had, she was already halfway out the door.

She found happiness in the simple things: fishing trips, hunting season, traveling, time spent with family, and especially making memories with her grandchildren. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit was wild and free, and her love for those around her was undeniable.

Susan lived with a zest for life that inspired everyone lucky enough to know her. While her passing leaves an unimaginable void, her stories, laughter, and love will continue to live on through all the people she touched.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at a later date.

In true Susan fashion, we hope those who knew and loved her remember her with laughter, good music, and a story that starts with, “Remember that time Susan…”
