Grace Bella Strembicke passed away Friday, June 19th, at the age of 86 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. 

Grace was an enduring prairie girl who cared deeply, approached life with strength, and was prepared for absolutely everything. She was born in August, 1939, on the homestead farm in Glaslyn, Saskatchewan to her parents Katherine and John Danyliw. She lived her life in Alberta and Saskachewan settling for the last 60 years in Lloydminster with her late husband Adolphe Strembicke, whom she loved fiercely; there was no greater nor dedicated wife than her.

Grace’s education included Wolia County School, Glaslyn Central School, and North Battleford Collegiate Institute. With her education she went on to work at the Saskatchewan Government Telephones and for 24 years as a dental office administrator. 

In her life she enjoyed attending social dances with Adolphe, spending holidays at their Brightsand and Turtle Lake cabins with their kids and grandchildren, cooking homemade meals and desserts, and tending to her large garden. She always focused her time caring for the people she loved. She was a methodical, structured, and orderly person much to the dismay of her loving family. There will forever be a vacant spot that she leaves behind, but her memory will live on through all those who cherished her.

Grace was predeceased by: her husband, Adolphe Strembicke; She is survived by: her daughters,  Bonnie Luopa (Charles Horn) and Norine Ost (Toni Ost); grandsons, Shaun Luopa (Saralee Channoo (Milkie)) and Cole Ost (Sydney Rollheiser); grandaughter, Katlyn Ost (Nebil Ilyas); and late grandaughter, Robyn Luopa. 

Grace was predeceased by: her sisters, Natalka Matweow, Olessa Danyliw and Patricia McGinnis; brother, Orest Danyliw; and survived by her brother, Bohdan Danyliw.

Grace’s Funeral Service will be held at McCaw’s Funeral Chapel in Lloydminster, AB on Friday, July 3rd, at 1:00 pm.  The viewing will be starting at 12pm (noon) followed by Grace’s internment. Afterwards a luncheon will be held to celebrate her beautiful and long life.
