James "Jimmy" Schlekewy was born in July 22,1958 in St. Walburg, SK. He passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on July 13, 2026 at the age of 67 years.

James is survived by: his sisters, Rosemarie Schlekewy, Joanne Schlekewy (Ron Harris), Maddy Smith, Dorothy Schlekewy, Shirley Passmore and Gerry (Herb) Giesbrecht; brother, John Schlekewy (Joanne Bielecki); and brother-in-law, Clinton Gory.

He also leaves behind nieces & nephews and their families, Chad Smith, Corine Smith White (Darren), Lawson & Frankie, Dean Schlekewy (Jill), Mira & Kaz, Kelsi Fairley (Hayden), Jodi Sweird (Jordan), Jenna, Raya Flottemesch (Justin), Violet & Jasmine, Calla Soberanis (Angel), Ansel and Alana Giesbrecht. 

James was predeceased by: his parents, Louis & Rose Schlekewy; brother, Robert Schlekewy; sister, Donna Gory; sister-in-law, Sandra Schlekewy; brothers-in -law, Clifford Ferguson & Norman Passmore; and a special family friend, Ed Bunz. 

Jim's Wishes: A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, St. Walburg, SK.
