Jessie Leslie Stewart January 28, 1919-March 12, 2008 Jessie Leslie Stewart passed away peacefully on March 12, 2008 at the age of 89 years. She will be sadly missed by two daughters; Vicki Page of Kitscoty, and Janet (Arnie) Schreder of Yellowknife; 6 grandchildren: Justin (Nicole) Page of Edmonton; Brenton Page of Kitscoty; Chad Snider, Bret Snider and Kaitlyn Stewart of Yellowknife; and Kyle (Fran) Snider of Edmonton; two sisters, Ethel Johnstone of Lloydminster and Dorothy (Lorne) Storey of Davidson, Sk; sister-in-law Ev Johnstone of 100 Mile House, B.C.; and brother- in-law and sister-in-law Willie and Kathleen Stewart of Lloydminster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by Edwin, her husband of 62 years in February 2005; her son-in-law John Page in February 2006; six siblings and their spouses: Nettie(Jimmy) McDonald, Mary (Earl) Evans, Jean (Graham) Sylvester, Ekky (Fred) McDonald, Jim Johnstone and Andy (Tootsie) Johnstone; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John and Phyllis Stewart and Eileen and Lynn Randall. The funeral service for Jessie was conducted from the Kitscoty Community Church, Kitscoty AB on March 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bob Aldrich officiating. The Eulogy was read by Terry and Donna Sylvester. Active Pallbearers were Jessie's six Grandchildren: Justin, Brenton, Chad, Kyle, Bret and Kaitlyn. Interment was held at the Kitscoty Cemetery. CARD OF THANKS The family would like to thank McCaw's Funeral Services for handling the arrangements; Reverend Bob Aldrich for officiating; Church Choir; Gail Hiltz and Carol Mackintosh for singing the duet; John Scott for accompaniment on the piano and organ; the church ladies for providing the lunch; Margaret Swanstrom for the wonderful job on the bag pipes; family and friends for their support, donations, cards, phone calls, flowers, food brought to our homes and visits. Donations in memory of Jessie can be made to Kitscoty Community Church.
