STANYER ~ Reta Mae passed away at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre Friday, May 10, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Reta leaves to mourn: her children: John Stanyer, Lynn (Wayne) Moore, Cheryl (Doug) Lowrie, Tammy Stanyer and Rick (Becca) Stanyer; grandchildren: Melissa Stanyer (Aaron), Aurlee (Jason) Crane, Michael Moore, Cory (Christine) Moore, Stacy (Eric) Weibel, Tyson (Jenna) Lowrie, Vernon (Kaleen) Lowrie, Shawna (Ian) Keichinger, David Beddow, Amanda (Colin) Seymore, Cody Tindall and step granddaughter, Asia; great grandchildren: Joni, Zayna, Ashton, Kohin, Jaelynn, Jayden, Dallon, Kian, Blake, Abby, Alex and Rosealynn; and a special friend of the family, Darlene Oddan. Reta was predeceased by her husband Bill Stanyer and son, Fred Stanyer. The Funeral Service for Reta was conducted from St. John's Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Michael Stonhouse officiating. Wayne Pawsey and Kathy Bevans gave the eulogy. The processional was "Angels" by Randy Travis. The hymns sung, "How Great Thou Art," "In the Garden," and "Amazing Grace" were accompanied by organist Pat Skinner. The honorary pallbearers were the spouses of all of Reta's grandchildren as well as Reta's great-grandchildren. The active pallbearers were Reta's grandchildren: Michael Moore, Cory Moore, David Beddow, Tyson Lowrie, Vernon Lowrie, Cody Tindall, Stacey Weibel, Shawna Keichinger, Melissa Stanyer and Aurlee Crane. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. Donations in Reta's memory may be made to Dr. Cooke Palliative Care or to a charity of the donor's choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of the late Reta Stanyer would like to thank the nursing staff at the Dr. Cooke for the wonderful care our mother received. Thank you Reverend Canon Michael Stonhouse for a beautiful service. Thank you Pat Skinner for the beautiful music. A very special thank you to Wayne Pawsey and Kathy Bevans, your eulogy was beautiful, your thoughts of her were touching. Thank you to the grandchildren for being the pallbearers. Thank you to our family and friends who sent flowers, cards, donations and for their phone calls. Thank you to the ladies for a wonderful lunch. A very special thank you to Joel and Dave McCaw and their staff, your kindness has touched us dearly.
