Obituary of Frank Fischer

FISCHER ~ Frank Joseph Fischer passed away at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Frank leaves to mourn his passing his five children: Robert Fischer, Helen (Irvin) Kloster, Dale (Joan) Fischer, Carol Heise and Jackie (Terry) Paziuk; sixteen grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; two brothers: John (Cathy) Fischer and Al (Bev) Fischer; three sisters: Betty Herle, Christina Shantz and Veronica Zimmer as well as numerous other relatives. Frank was predeceased by his wife Phyllis. The Memorial Service for Frank was conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Father Rajappa Savariappan officiating. Helen Kloster gave the eulogy. The music was performed by soloist, Lani Burry and pianist, Melanie Pellerin. The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus were in attendance. The urn bearers were all of his grandchildren. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to the Pioneer Lodge, Dr. Cooke Patient Comfort Fund or to a charity of the donors choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS At this time, the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Dr. Cooke North Unit for the care given to our father during his time there. A special thanks to Dr. Chan for his special care of our Dad. We would like to thank Father Rajappa Savariappan for his words of comfort; also the pianist & soloist, Melanie & Lani. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard. Thank you to the ladies of the Knox Presbyterian Church for the lovely lunch. Thank you to Glenn McCaw for everything you did to accommodate our requests to make our sorrow much easier. Also thank you everyone who expressed their sympathy in any way to help ease our sorrow. You have left us peaceful memories Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you You will always be by our side Our family chain is broken And nothing will seem the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.
