Obituary of Christopher Bodnar

BODNAR ~ Christopher Daniel Bodnar of Lloydminster passed away in the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the age of 56 years. Chris was born on December 6, 1957 in Wakaw, Saskatchewan to Adeline and Bill Bodnar. Chris will be sadly missed by: his loving wife, Cindy (Cynthia); four children, Denver (Natalie), Breanne (Brad), Landon (Kim) and Kendall (Kara); one grandson, Kiptyn; one brother, Ed (Barb) Bodnar; one sister, Karin Soloway; uncle, Bernard (Nancy); father-in-law, Max Hackl; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvan (Bev), Gary (Ethel), Adele (Dave), Linda (Joel), Ross (Debbie) and Sonya (Larry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his mother and father: Adeline and Bill; brother-in-law, Arlen Hackl; mother-in-law, Gertrude Hackl; and nephews: Jason and Trevor Hackl. The Prayer Vigil for Chris was conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 7:00 P.M.. The Funeral Service for Chris was conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Michael Eniolorunda officiating. Kim, Natalie, Kara and Brad gave the eulogy. The music during the service was accompanied by pianist, Melanie Pellerin and soloist, Lani Burry. The honorary pallbearers were all his friends and family. The active pallbearers were Denver Bodnar, Landon Bodnar, Kendall Bodnar, Brad Robinson, Ed Bodnar, Gary Hackl and Ross Hackl. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The reception followed in the Centennial Civic Centre, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Chris may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
