PAWSEY ~ Helen Pawsey passed away at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Helen will be remembered by her loving husband of 69 years, Keith; two daughters: Dianne Laverty and Fay (Vince) Voss; three grandchildren: Shannon (Kevin) Eger, Tori (Kevin) Hughes and Lonnie (Stacy) Voss; seven great-grandchildren: Kyla (Shawn) Van Meter, Kelsey Eger, Quinn and Austin Hughes, Alexa and Kiptyn Voss and Karlee Laverty; and one sister, Pearl Hill. Helen was predeceased by: two sons, Garnet and Rick; grandson, Dean Laverty; son-in-law, Gary Laverty; five sisters: Lena, Mary, Jeanette, Jenny and Olive; and two brothers: Fred and Ivan. The honorary pallbearers were Shannon and Kevin Eger, Tori and Kevin Hughes and Lonnie and Stacey Voss. Card of Thanks A special thanks to Shannon for the heartfelt eulogy, you did her proud. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Dr. Cooke, you took such good care of Mom, and to Dr. Gerber for your caring. Thank you to Reverend Stonhouse for the kind words and personal touch, the St. John's A.C.W. for the delicious lunch and to Pat Skinner for the beautiful music. Thank you to all those who sent flowers and cards, and for all the phone calls. To Dean Wenzel and McCaw Funeral Service staff, thank you so much for being so compassionate and caring.
