“Derry” Frederick George Stone passed away at the age of 76 years. Derry is survived by: his four children: son: Garret Stone and his wife Kathy and their three children: Megan, Garth and Nicholas; daughter: Carrie Handel and her husband Duane and their two children: Brett and Brooke; son Brent Stone and his wife Raelyn and their three children: Mandy Mason and Mackenzie; daughter: Lee Ann Flath and her husband Christopher and their three children: Carter, Avery and Madelyn. Derry was predeceased by: his parents: Stanley and Mary Stone in 1982 and 2000; his wife: Lillie Stone in 2007; his father and mother-in-law: Fred and Stancy Schiller in 1995 and 2012. A Memorial Service for Derry was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster Alberta on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Paul DuVal officiating. The eulogy was given by Chistopher Flath. Readings were given by Mandy Stone, Brooke Handel, Avery Flath and Madelyn Flath, Irene Knowlson was the organist and the Hymns sung were “The Old Rugged Cross” and “There’ll Be Peace In The Valley.” The Urn Bearers were Garth Griffiths, Brett Handel, Mason Stone, Carter Ekencrantz, Nicholas Stone and Mackenzie Stone. Everyone was invited to join the family for lunch at the Knox Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend a “Special Thank You” to McCaw Funeral Services Ltd. and Reverend Paul DuVal for helping us get through this difficult time. Donations in Memory of Derry may be made to the Hemophilia Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
