STANLEY IVOR LANE
September 11, 1922 to September 30, 2006
Stanley Ivor (Stan) Lane was born at Southford, Isle of Wight, England, the youngest of six children. The family came to Canada in 1930, landing in Quebec City and traveling to Lloydminster by rail, to settle Canadian Pacific land south of Blackfoot, Alberta. Stan took over the family farm from his father after the Second World War, and farmed until his retirement, when he and his wife Olive moved into Lloydminster to live. Daughter Peggy died in 1994, and Olive died in 1996, ending a marriage of 52 years.
Stan is survived by his second wife Leora; sons: Thomas, Eric and George; daughter Rose, brothers Leonard and Gordon and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at the Lloydminster Hospital for their care of Stan. Thank you to Reverend David Turvey and Anastasia Huculiak for the memorable service and to the pallbearers for their help in honoring Stan. Also thank you to the Moose Lodge for the lovely lunch.
