Obituary of Elsie Newlin

B I O G R A P H Y NEWLIN: Elsie Lillian Newlin passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Elsie is survived by: four children: Jeanette Plaami, Robert James (Cheryl) Newlin, Stanley Byron Newlin and Donald Orien Newlin all of Lloydminster; two grandsons: Steven Robert and Craig Geoffrey as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Elsie was conducted from St. John’s Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend David Turvey officiating. Hymns sung were “All Things Bright & Beautiful,” and “In The Garden,” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Elsie’s life. A private family interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We would like to thank Dr. A. Naude and the hospital staff, to the Home Care staff and the Jubilee Home Respite for their care of Elsie. To Reverend David Turvey, Pat Skinner for the beautiful service and the Anglican Church ladies for the wonderful lunch provided. Thank you to all our friends and neighbors who made donations and sent expressions of sympathy in cards or by dropping food off at the house. Also, thank you to McCaw’s and staff for their help at this difficult time. In lieu of sending thank you cards we will be making a donation to the Lloyd Region Health Foundation in Elsie’s memory.
