BIOGRAPHY BAKER ~ Ronald “Ron” Mervin Alexander Baker passed away in his home on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Ron will be sadly missed by his mother Anna Campbell and four children: Bruce and Judy Baker, Darren and Sheree Baker, Tory and Jen Baker, Lori Ann and Blair Zingle; six grandchildren: Wade, Adam, Hayley, Maya, Dylan and Eveline; sister Joyce and Claude Hamilton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his wife May Rascher-Baker in 2010. The memorial service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating. The hymns sung were “How Great Thou Art”, “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and “Amazing Grace” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of Ron Baker would like to thank Sharon and John Niem for going beyond the call of duty. Thank you to Reverend Bob Aldrich for the wonderful service, to Dave and Joel McCaw for their care and compassion, to the Presbyterian ladies for the lunch they provided, to Pat Skinner for the lovely music and to all our friends and family who brought food, sent flowers and cards and expressed sympathy. Your thoughtfulness will long be remembered. Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
