SIBLEY: Jenny Alice Violet Sibley passed away in the Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Jenny Sibley was born June 3, 1919 to Olaf and Kristina Larson at their home in the Emmaville district. Here she grew up with her four sisters; Elin, Anna, Eva, Rosa and one brother, Per. After obtaining her schooling at Emmaville, Spruce Lake and North Battleford schools, she went on to become a teacher. She taught school at Acton, Turtle Grove and Emmaville. On July 14, 1945 Jenny married Eric Sibley, from the Acton area, and they took up farming in the Spruce Lake district. Jenny’s life revolved around her family, farm living, church and community activities. They operated this mixed farm until 1974 and continued living on the farm until 1989 when they moved to Turtleford. Jenny and Eric had four children: Wayne, Sharon, Garry and Allan. Grandchildren held a special place in Jenny's heart - she loved their visits and enjoyed hearing about their lives. Jenny is lovingly survived by: her children: Wayne and Jean Sibley, Sharon and Reuben Wiens, Garry and Aurelia Sibley and Allan Sibley; her grandchildren: Michael Sibley, Tamara and Jason Larre, Carla Sibley and Devin Guedo, Travis Weins, Darren Weins, Jeremy Sibley, Kyle Sibley and Curtis Sibley; one sister Eva Morris as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jenny was predeceased by her loving husband Eric, her parents Olaf and Kristina, sisters Elin (Wooff), Anna (Wooff), Rosa (Crawford), and brother Per; brothers-in-law: Robert Wooff, Norman Wooff, Rae Crawford and Dennis Morris. The memorial service for Jenny was conducted from the Good Shepherd United Anglican Church, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Canon Don Skinner officiating. A eulogy was given by Allan Sibley. A tribute was given by the grandchildren. A solo “In the Garden,” was sung by Eileen Seabrook. A duet was sung by Reverend Canon Don Skinner & Marg Uhlig. The hymns sung were “Precious Lord, Take My Hand,” and “Unto the Hills,” accompanied on the organ by Bev Meikle. Honorary pallbearers were all of Jenny’s friends. Interment followed in the Emmaville Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster and Turtleford administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of Jenny Sibley wishes to express sincere appreciation for the support of many relatives and friends through visits, telephone calls, flowers, food donations, and attendance at the funeral. Thank you also to those who gave monetary donations in Mom's memory. To the doctors and staff of Riverside Memorial and Lloydminster Hospitals, a big thank you for making Mom's stay as comfortable as possible. A special thank you goes to Rev. Don Skinner, Marg Uhlig, Eileen Seabrook, Bev Meikle and the church choir for a very meaningful service with special music that Mom would have loved. To the AUCW members, thank you for serving a lovely lunch. We thank McCaw Funeral Service for their capable handling of the memorial service.
