Martha Clark of Lloydminster, Alberta passed away on Thursday, December 29th in the Lloydminster Hospital at the age of 96. She was born in Horwich, Lancashire, England on May 9, 1909. On November 20, 1930 she married Hugh "Mel" Melbourne Clark of Lloydminster, Alberta. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Marlene Cherry (Doug) of Calgary, Alberta and Sharon Wright (Bill) of Sidney, BC and one son Gary Clark (Fran) of Vernon, BC; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother Horace Cundliffe (Barbara) of Edmonton, Alberta; several sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son Vernon in 1956; husband Mel in 1975; grandson Blake Cherry in 2002; by her parents Martha and George; six brothers: George, Leonard, Fred, Norman, Jim and Alfred Cundliffe; and one sister Nellie Bulduc. Funeral services were conducted from St. John's Anglican Church in Lloydminster on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 with Reverend David Turvey. The hymns sung were "One Day At A Time," "Beyond The Sunset," "Blowin' In The Wind," and solo, "How Great Thou Art," by her granddaughter Corinne MacLean. The Honorary pallbearers were sister-in-law Luella Cundliffe, grandsons Nolan Clark, Danny Clark, Dustin Clark; granddaughter Natalie Clark; Dr. Rafeed Sayeed; Mabel MacKay; Ella Rundberg; Kay Simon; Lana, Michael, Mitchell, Kathleen and Keiler Cherry. The Active pallbearers were her granddaughters Brenda Cherry, Leanne Cherry, Corinne MacLean (Cherry), Emily Zinck (Clark), Paige Snydal (Wright) and one grandson Clark Wright. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. The funeral arrangements were administered by McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta. Card of Thanks We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. R.A. Sayeed and staff at the Lloydminster Hospital for their outstanding and sincere care for our mother. Many thanks to the pallbearers, those who sent flowers, food, donations and cards; to Reverend David Turvey for officiating; to Pat Skinner, organist, to granddaughter Corinne MacLean (Cherry) for her solo and eulogy; to the Church Ladies for serving lunch in the hall. Special thanks to McCaw's and everyone for their acts of kindness during the loss of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Donations in memory of Martha may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
