B I O G R A P H Y DONOVAN: Allan Raymond Donovan passed away on Monday, December 5, 2005 at the age of 58 years. A prayer service for Allan was conducted from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz officiating. Leader of songs was Marlene Risling accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. Active pallbearers were: David Behnke, Albert Behnke, Steven Behnke, Richard Behnke, Earon Ansorger, and Greg Merkel. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Eulogy Allan Raymond Donovan was born on September 4, 1947 in Melville, Saskatchewan. When he was five he moved with his family to Grande Prairie, Alberta were he grew up. After school Allan joined the military. He served in Halifax for two years before health problems forced an honorary discharge. After he left the military he tried his hand at several different jobs before he moved back with his parents in Chilliwack, BC. His parents really did enjoy and depend on the support he was able to provide. In 1999 he and his father moved to Lloydminster, Alberta to live with his sister Mary and her husband Peter. He found employment with the commissionaires where he did security work at the hospital and for a while at Lakeland College. About two months ago he moved out on his own. On Tuesday, December 2nd he passed away in his sleep. Allan was predeceased by his parents and by one brother Richard, who passed away in 1973. He leaves to mourn one sister, Mary and her husband Peter Behnke, seven nieces and nephews as well as several cousins and friends. He will be missed. We would like to thank McCaw’s for their kindness at a bad time. Father Jan for a lovely service. Marlene and Donna for the beautiful music. The CWL for the nice lunch. And everyone who came to the service, sent us cards and other expressions of sympathy. Mary & Peter Behnke and Family Donations in memory of Allan may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
