Obituary of Roy Wood

B I O G R A P H Y WOOD: Roy Henry Wood passed away at his home near Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Roy Henry Wood is survived by: seven children: David and his wife Lily Brown of Regina; Jim Dewar of Calgary; Allen and his wife Jean Wood of Marshall; Danny and his wife Rita Wood of Red Deer; Lyle and his wife Heather Wood of Paradise Hill; Bonnie and her husband Stanley Noeth of Paradise Hill; Bunny and her husband Tim Noeth also of Paradise Hill; twenty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother Ron Wood of Lucky Lake and one sister Helen Orton also of Lucky Lake as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service for Roy was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend David Turvey officiating. Hymns sung were “How Great Thou Art,” and “Bringing In The Sheaves,” accompanied on the organ by Marj Kilback. A special CD recessional “I Am The Wind,” was played. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Dad’s life. Active pallbearers were: David Noeth, Randy Noeth, Rick Waldorf, Charlie Noeth, Cody Noeth, Billy Noeth and Matthew Rosin. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
