Dear Paysen family, I do not know any of you, however, I hope you will accept my condolences and let me tell you a story: My mother, Lydia (Lee) Straub nee Brandt died recently at the age of 103. Among her keepsakes was a signet ring (very worn and broken). I seem to remember that she received it as a remembrance from the family of a friend of hers when that friend passed away. After much memory searching, I came up with the name "Elsie" and finally with the name "Payson/Paysen" I think that's correct as a tiny bit of the inscription still remains on the ring and the letter "P" is readable. Mom wore the ring until it wore through and thereafter it resided in her jewellry box. Mom was born near Regina and lived on farms near Hodgeville until 1949.
