TREW, George Edward (Ted) Nelson Trew passed away in the Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone, SK. on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Ted leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters: Vicki (Albert) Ewanciw of Vegreville, AB and Pat (Gerry) Grelowski of Lloydminster, AB; five grandchildren: Michael (Donna) Ewanciw of Edmonton, AB; Valerie (Kevin) Reid of St. Paul, AB; Randy (Cyndi) Ewanciw of Sherwood Park, AB; Sierra (Travis) Quirk of Colonsay, SK; Erin Grelowski of Lloydminster, AB; two grandchildren Tanier Reid and Jenna Lee Ewanciw, two step-grandchildren: Michelle Mullins and family and Doug Grelowski, all of Calgary, AB; one brother Ryder (Margaret) Trew of Vermilion, AB; and sister-in-law Eunice Wylie of Kelowna, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his parents, wife Marion in 1991, two sisters and sister and brothers-in-law. The memorial service for Ted was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, AB on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Harold Martin officiating. Daughter Pat Grelowski gave the eulogy. Travis Quirk gave a carpenter’s poem and Mrs. Marj Kilback accompanied on the organ. Honorary pallbearers were: Grandchildren: Michael & Donna Ewanciw, Valerie & Kevin Reid, Randy & Cyndi Ewanciw, Sierra & Travis Quirk and Erin Grelowski as well as all those who shared in Ted’s life. An Elks Honor Guard was present. A private interment will follow at a later date at the Turtleford Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to family and friends for their love and support through cards, flowers, visits, donations, phone calls and food. A special thank you to Jim Wheeler for the many years of friendship and visits to Dad both at home and in hospital. Many thanks to Dr. Chapelski and the third floor nursing staff for all your compassion and care given to Dad. Thank you also to the staff at Pine Island Lodge for your care. Our appreciation to the Elks for the Honor Guard and the Royal Purple for the wonderful lunch. Our heartfelt thank you to Reverend Harold Martin and Marj Kilback for your help with the service. Deepest appreciation to Glenn McCaw and the McCaw Funeral Service staff for your compassion, care in handling the details and for making this difficult time so much easier to bare. Your professionalism was greatly appreciated.
