B I O G R A P H Y
POOR: Stanley "Stan" Ross Poor passed away in the Elk Point Health Center, Elk Point, Alberta on Friday, July 29, 2005 at the age of 43 years.
Stan is survived by: his loving wife Debbie; one son Ross Poor; one daughter Tracy Poor all of Lloydminster; his mother Annie Poor also of Lloydminster; one brother Larry Poor and his wife Doris of Spiritwood, SK; two sisters: Carol and her husband Eli Goller also of Spiritwood, SK and Myrna Westmacott of Prince Albert, SK and many other relatives and friends.
Stan was predeceased by his father Orville Poor.
The funeral service for Stan was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Norm Laird officiating.
A eulogy was given by Myrna Westmacott.
A special poem was read by Carol Goller.
Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Until We Meet Again," accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson.
Special CD music "Go Rest High On That Mountain," by Vince Gill was also played.
Honorary pallbearers were all the relatives and friends who have shared in Stan's life.
Active pallbearers were: Darrel Hayden, Grant Goller, Doug Franson, Rosair Denis, Conrad Goller and Ken Aube.
Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Stanley
