Mary Mabel Klesken of Lloydminster passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Mary is survived by six children: George (Olga) Klesken of Rocky Mountain House, Jerry (Shirley) Klesken of Millarville, Judy (Vern) Cleve of Bonnyville, Mary (Bryan) Finlin of Lashburn, and Linda White and Gordon Klesken of Lloydminster. Other family members include sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, Myrna Klesken, of Rocky Mountain House, two sisters, Phoebie Murchie and Doris (Cliff) Hall, one brother, Allan (Irene) Baxter, and two sisters-in-law, Lil Baxter and Lou Horgus. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jerry in 2003, her parents, one brother, one sister, and one infant grandson. The memorial service for Mary was conducted from the First Baptist Church, Lloydminster, on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 with Pastor Ta Tumu officiating. The eulogy was given by son Jerry J. Klesken. Hymns sung were “It is Well With My Soul” and “In The Garden,” accompanied by Edith Klippenstein on the piano. Musical numbers in honor of Mary were performed with love by several of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were all those whose lives have been touched by Mary. A private family interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Sincere thanks to everyone who supported our families with prayers, food, phone calls, flowers, cards and memorial contributions. Thank you to all who took the time to visit Mom while she was ill and to those who attended Mom’s memorial service. Your acts of kindness and expressions of loving support were very much appreciated. Thank you to Dr. Paul Naude, the 3rd Floor nursing staff, and Home Care nurses for the dedicated care given Mom. Thank you to Pastor Ta for your sensitivity and compassion and for the caring way you conducted the service. Thank you to First Baptist Church staff for your gracious and willing assistance while we organized the service and to the ladies of the church who coordinated and served the delicious lunch. A special thank you to Edith Klippenstein for the beautiful piano music and to all who participated in the service. Finally, thank you to Glenn and the staff at McCaw’s for the advice and care given to our family. God bless you all.
