Obituary of William Kuzyk
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kuzyk, William 1931-2005
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bill Kuzyk, after a brief and valiant struggle with cancer, at 73 years of age on June 13.
Bill will be lovingly missed by his wife Mary; his four children: Deb (Ray) of Nova Scotia, Les (Dragana) of Calgary, Gerald (Kristin) of Vermilion, Rick of Edmonton; granddaughter Lily, two sisters, Mary (Clarence) and Stella (Len), brother Mike (Denise), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pearl Kuzyk, and two brothers Marshall and Walter.
The Celebration of Bill's life was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, on Wednesday, June 15, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Anne Laird officiating. The eulogy was given by sons Les and Gerald and by friend and colleague Dick Conley. Readings were by Denise Kuzyk and Len Arndt. Special song, "Pilgrim," was performed by niece Tracy Charbonneau. Congregational hymns were "In the Garden," and "How Great Thou Art."
There was a graveside service on Thursday, June 16, in the cemetery in Leoville, Saskatchewan.
Bill loved his students and his teaching career as much as he loved nature. His passionate hobbies were hunting, fishing, curling, golfing and gardening, and he touched many lives through his involvement in these activities. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
