B I O G R A P H Y DALLYN: Duane Albert Dallyn passed away in the University of Alberta Hospital on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Duane is survived by: his loving wife Shirley; his children Brent Dallyn and his wife Debbie and their children: Ashlee, Amber, Breanne and Carlee; Evelyn and her husband David Roethlingshoefer and their children Justin and Christie; his brothers and sisters: Orville Dallyn and his wife Marion; Cameron Dallyn and his wife Laura; Lawrence Dallyn and Margo; Lucille White and Laura Belle Grey and his beloved grandpets Buddy and Bailey. A prayer service for Duane was conducted from the First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. The funeral service was conducted from the Stockade Convention Center, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Nolan Astley officiating. Tributes were given by his family. A eulogy was given by Brian Jurke. Hymns sung were "Amazing Grace," "I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry," "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," and "Lord Take My Hand and Lead Me," accompanied on the organ by Brenda Findlay. Honorary pallbearers were: Matt Brost, Ken Harold, Eric Rayner, Rudy Jurke, Morgan Day, Harvey Davies, Ted William, Harold Goodwin and Mac Hancock as well as all those who shared in Duane's life. Active pallbearers were: Brad Dallyn, Brian Jurke, Darrell Jurke, Neil Noble, Lyle Noble and Werner Wennekamp. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We wish to express sincere gratitude to all of our friends and family for your kindness and expressions of sympathy through cards, flowers, visits, food and donations made in Duane/Dad's memory. Your support and encouragement through this difficult time have been deeply appreciated. Pastor Nolan, we are truly greatful to you for walking by our side during Duane/Dad's illness and hospital stays. Your words of comfort and peace have been a blessing in a time of uncertainty. Dr. du Plooy, your compassionate and attentive care throughout Duane/Dad's illness is deeply appreciated. We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kostic and the Lloydminster Hospital staff for your excellent care. To Glenn McCaw and staff, thank you so much for your professional guidance during such a difficult time. Your compassion and thoughtfulness are greatly appreciated. Thank you Mike, Karl and the staff of the Lloydminster Exhibition association for going above and beyond in preparing the Convention Center and providing lunch. Everyone's caring words and acts of kindness will be forever remembered. We have been richly blessed!
