B I O G R A P H Y IRELAND: Norman Lougheny Ireland passed away at home in Edam, Saskatchewan on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Norman is survived by: his wife Laura; three children: Gordon Ireland and his wife Margaret of Hinton, AB; Ken Ireland of Battleford, SK; and Peggy and her husband Jim Barker; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one half sister Carolyn and her husband Lee Gillett of Powell, Wyoming. The memorial service for Norman was held at the Edam/Vawn Playdium on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Pat Ribey officiating. A eulogy was given by Granddaughter Leann Pero. Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross," "Amazing Grace," and "We Shall Go Out With Hope of Resurrection," accompanied on the organ by Noreen Williamson. A private family interment will take place in Edam Cemetery at a later date. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster and Turtleford administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The families of Norman Ireland would like to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who sent flowers, cards, food to the house, phone calls, visits and memorial donations. Thank you to Pastor Pat Ribey for officiating at the memorial service, the organist and the choir. Thank you to the A.U.C.W. for doing lunch. A special thank you to Granddaughter Leann for giving the eulogy. Thank you to the First Responders, RCMP and ambulance attendants for their quick assistance. Thank you to McCaw Funeral Service for their assistance. Donations in memory of Norman may be made to the Edam Trinity/United Church or to the Edam Muncipal Cemetery.
