Obituary of Amy Wakefield

WAKEFIELD: Amy Betty Lillian Anne Wakefield passed away in the Maidstone Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the age of 83 years.
Betty is survived by: three children and their families: Laurie and his wife Monica of Maidstone; David and his wife Loreen of Weyburn and Diana and her husband Lanny Hoffer of Saskatoon; eight grandchildren: Maxine (Lee), Kristopher, Curtis, Alanna, Lance, Bonnie, Andrea and Clarissa; one great granddaughter Mikayla; one sister Barbara Busto of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother-in-law Clem Wakefield and his wife Margaret of Lloydminster.
Betty was predeceased by: her husband Roland Cecil Wakefield, her brother Gerald Toombs, in-laws Rupert and Inez Wakefield, Amelia and Bob Paton.
The memorial service for Betty was conducted from the Maidstone Anglican Church on Monday, May 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Terry Wiebe and Reverend Ean Kasper officiating.
Hymns sung were How Great Thou Art, and In The Garden, accompanied on the organ by Marilyn Owens, piano by Scott Owens and by the Maidstone Community Choir.
Urn bearers were her grandsons: Kristopher Wakefield, Curtis Wakefield and Lance Wakefield.
Interment followed in the Maidstone Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

Bettys family wish to thank the staff of Maidstone Hospital for their kindness and support; Terry and Ean for their spiritual guidance over the last few months; Marilyn, Scott and the choir for their musical contributions; the members of the Drop-In Centre for the delicious lunch and McCaw Funeral Service . Special thanks to all those who visited or phoned, sent food, cards, donations and flowers - youre thoughtfulness is appreciated and will not be forgotten.
