B I O G R A P H Y ELLIOTT: Mary Elizabeth Elliott passed away in the Islay Hospital on Monday, March 7, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Mary is survived by: her children: Marlene Stark of Grand Forks; Joyce Nowicki and Noel Garnard of Sherwood Park; Larry Elliott and his wife Fern of Lloydminster; Linda and her husband Bruce Gould of Islay; Raymond Elliott and his wife Della of Westbank, British Columbia; Dwayne Elliott and his wife Debra of Lloydminster; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband James and three sons-in-law and infant son. The memorial service for Mary was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Morgan officiating. Special music “Mansion Over The Hilltop,” and “Whispering Hope,” by Renie Martin and Shirley Lamport. A violin solo “Amazing Grace,” was played by Gordon Gould. The hymn sung was “In The Garden.” The recessional was "Take Me Home Country Road," by John Denver. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family would like to thank the staff at the Islay Care Centre who were so good to Mom over the years. A special thanks to the Islay Auxiliary for maintaining the handi-van which provided Mom with many of these happy outings. We would also like to thank the following people: Dr. Stewart-Hunter for his compassionate care. Pastor Mike Morgan for the comforting service. Donna Eyben, organist. Renie Martin, Shirley Lamport, Bruce Gould and Gordon Gould for the special music. Martha Steiner for delivering the eulogy and her thoughtful insight on Mom. Ladies of the Moose Lodge, Lloydminster for providing lunch. To all of you who sent cards, flowers, food, phoned or visited. Dale McCaw and the staff at McCaw Funeral Home for the arrangements. In lieu of thank-you cards, a donation will be made to the Islay Hospital Auxiliary in memory of Mary Elliott. Donations may be made to The Islay Hospital Auxiliary or Charity of Choice.
