Obituary of John Lechner

John Vernon Lechner was born November 27, 1907 to the late John C. and Anna Lechner in Grinell, Kansas. He moved to the Oxbow area in 1929. In the following years he lived in various places in Western Canada.
Surviving are his beloved wife Helen, step daughter Roberta Hardern; his sons David Randall (Becky) Lechner; John D. Lechner; sister Geraldine; brother Bob (Lily), four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
John enjoyed life and welcomed the challenges of each new endeavor. He particularly enjoyed his years as a forest ranger in the Birch River, MB area. His retirement years were active and enjoyable, driving a vehicle until the age of 93.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to the staff of the Jubilee Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Jubilee Home(Patient Comfort Fund).
