B I O G R A P H Y BLAIN: Arnold James Blain passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Monday, November 8, 2004 at the age of 63 years. Arnold is survived by: his wife Sylvia; one daughter Debbie (Kevin) Graham of Blackfoot and their children Kyle and Brooke; two sons: Kevin Blain and his companion Sarah Stourac of Neilburg; Travis Blain of Neilburg; two sisters: Eileen (Don) Graham of Marsden; Bev Watson of Big River; one brother George Blain of Lloydminster as well as several other relatives. The funeral service for Arnold was conducted from the Neilburg Community Hall on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ted Haas officiating. A eulogy was given by Gary Graham. Special music was by Relative Harmony. The hymn sung was “One Day At A Time,” accompanied on the piano by Hazel Wiens. Honorary pallbearers were: Larry Flicek, Pat Wiebe, Stan Graham, Dwight Fairley, Wayne Johnson, Raymond Whitney and all his friends and family. Active pallbearers were: Floyd Whitney, Brian Whitney, Clifford Whitney, Greg Blain, Bradley Blain and Evan Horvath. Interment followed in the Wycollar Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Arnold took his first seven years of schooling at Flat Lake and the rest was taken in Neilburg. After he was done school he worked at numerous jobs and eventually taking over the family farm in 1963. Arnold loved his antique tractors and his big trucks. He enjoyed his trucking days at Silverman’s; his fishing trips, overnight stays in Motels and going to farm shows. He enjoyed having his family and friends around him very much. Arnold lived a full life with lots of ups and downs but he always kept his spirits high and was ready for life’s next challenge. He was a respectful and honest man who was very proud of his family. They meant the world to him. Card of Thanks The family would like to thank the staff of Lloydminster Hospital and Dr. Chapelski for their support and kindness given to Arnold during his illness. Also thanks to Ambulance attendants, Home Care nurses and Home Care workers. Thanks to Pastor Ted Haas for conducting the service. To Hazel Wiens for pianist, Relative Harmony for their great music, Gary Graham for the eulogy, to the Honorary pallbearers and active pallbearers, to the Freemont Ladies for doing a great lunch. For all the flowers, cards, donations, and food brought to our homes. Special thanks for all phone calls and visits throughout Arnold’s illness. Thanks to McCaw Funeral Service for their great job.
