Audrey May Windsor (Dudley)
1929 - 2004
Audrey Windsor, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2004, at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was 74 years old.
Audrey was born December 12, 1929 in Swift Current. Her family moved to the Turtleford area when she was three years old. She attended Warnock School, and later went to high school in Turtleford. She enjoyed curling and dancing, attending hockey games and travelling. She also dearly loved horses. Audrey married Alex Marshall in July of 1953 and they lived in Turtleford. They had five children. Audrey was a member of many community organizationS and took part in the events hosted by the community, such as the figure skating club, the curling club, the area ladies organization (TADRA), the legion, and the annual fair. Audrey and Alex had been happily married for 20 years when Alex passed away unexpectedly in March of 1973. Audrey worked at the Turtleford Co-op and the Turtleford branch of the CIBC. She married Bill Windsor of Mervin in November 1974. They lived in Turtleford for a few years before moving to Bills farm in Mervin. Audrey loved to landscape and she enjoyed working in her yard. She had an eye for beauty and her yard and home reflected that. Audrey loved farm life. She and Bill were constant companions and enjoyed doing many things together, such as dancing, bowling, travelling, playing cards, going to the casino, and golfing. Audrey spent countless hours at the Mervin Golf Course, playing golf and weeding the flower beds on her way by. Audrey was full of life and had a sparkle in her eye. She was a wonderful person and a loving and supportive parent. Her sense of humor will be missed by all, as will the sound of her laughter. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 30 years, Bill Windsor; daughters: Shannon Marshall of Saskatoon, Shelly Marshall of Mervin, Debbie Marshall of St. Walburg, Lexie Villeneuve (Roger) of St. Walburg, Donna Spencer of Turtleford; grandchildren, Amanda Conacher (Clinton) of Mervin, Carmen Prafke (Roy) of Saskatoon, Tyler Marshall of Saskatoon, Tennille Villeneuve of Edmonton, Bryce and Raegan Villeneuve of St. Walburg, Karen Little of St. Walburg, Shayla Spencer of Turtleford; great grandchildren, Terran and Brennan Conacher, and Kreighan Prafke; aunts, Faye Schofield and Betty Wiznowich; nephews Fraser Dudley (Carolyn), Lloyd Dille (Marie); niece Edith Dille, as well as other nieces and nephews and extended families. Audrey will also be missed by her very special mother-in-law, Jean Windsor, and by Bob and Eileen Windsor of Perdue, Ross and Dorothy Windsor of Moosimin, Ron and Donna Windsor of Hanna, Neil and Theresa Windsor of Mervin, and George and Virginnia Windsor of Prince George, and Rosetta and Dave Nicholson of Sidney, BC and Vivian Marshall of Turtleford. Audrey was predeceased by her first husband Alex Marshall; her parents Fran and Louisa Dudley; her brother Ken Dudley and his wife Ruby Dudley; her sister Bertha Dille and her husband Clarence Dille; Isaac Sommerville, who was like a brother; her father-in-law, Archie Windsor; and her son-in-law, Roy Spencer. The funeral service for Audrey Windsor was held in the Mervin United Church, in Mervin, Saskatchewan on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Pat Ribey officiating. The eulogy was given by Bob Windsor. Music was provided by Noreen Williamson (organist), the Mervin Community Choir, with a special solo by Christie Kotzer-Milne and Bernice Edwards.
Pallbearers were Jim Shier, John Warrington, Bud Graham, Fraser Dudley, Jim Currie and Edward Knowlton. Interment followed in the Mervin Cemetery. Lunch was held at the Mervin Golf Course. Donations may be sent to the Turtleford Health Complex or to a charity of the donors choice.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster and Turtleford administered the funeral arrangements.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us through this sad time. We have appreciated the outpouring of support that we have received this past week. Thank you to the people who came to visit, for the wonderful offerings of food, for the cards and condolences offered, and for the beautiful flowers that Audrey would have loved so much. Thank you to the Mervin AUCW for the lunch and the preparation and donations that involved. Your actions have touched our family beyond words and have helped so much in this time of grief.
