Obituary of Shirley Tuplin

Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1925-2006 Shirley Ann Tuplin (nee McGilvery) It is with regret that we inform you of the passing of Shirley Anne. Our mother, grandmother, Auntie and friend, left this life on the evening of January 12, 2006. Shirley will be forever remembered and missed by the family she has left behind. Son Bill McGilvery and his wife Linda; one daughter Norma Richardson; as well as four grandchildren: Errin, Sean, Riley and Buffy, all of Maidstone. Her siblings, one brother, “Streak” McGilvery and his wife Ev, and one sister Kay Nelson, of Invermere, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Herb, two daughters Marjorie and Arlene as well as two brothers Mark and Alec and two sisters Norma and Louise. In keeping with mother’s wishes, no funeral service was held. When spring breaks there will be a gathering of family and friends at “the old shack” to celebrate and remember her life. Those wishing to do so may make donations in memory of mother to the S.P.C.A. or the Pine Island Lodge Building Fund. Sincere thank you to Dr. Howard-Tripp and the Maidstone Hospital staff for the kind care and attention given to mom during her last days. Thank you also to the many friends who called, and to those who sent cards and flowers, each gesture was much appreciated. To Glenn McCaw, your caring and compassionate assistance helped “calm the rough waters” and ease the pain. Thank you. The Family Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Lloydminster SPCA or to a charity of the donor's choice.
