Marguerite Grace Stoughton Marguerite was born on December 4, 1913 in Edam to Walter and Harriet Johnston. She passed away April 2, 2006 in the Pine Island Lodge. She spent most of her life in the Maidstone Community. She married Harold Stoughton and they farmed for many years, later retiring in Maidstone. She is survived by two daughters Jacquie (Buck) Gerbig, Patti (Rick) Lenes; five grandchildren: Kim (Jackie) Gerbig, Gary (Karen) Gerbig, Jeff (Shevawn) Lene, Russel (Brandy) Lenes and Robin Lenes; seven great grandchildren: Brandon, Jesse, Kendra, Lesley, Karissa and Courtney Gerbig and Logan Lenes; brother-in-law Jack Bullock and sister-in-law Verna Stoughton. A graveside service was held on April 7, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ean Kasper officiating. The hymn sung was “Amazing Grace.” Lunch followed at the Legion Hall where Great Grandson Brandon Gerbig did her eulogy. She was predeceased by her husband Harold, her daughter Nikki, her twin sister Mary Bullock, her brother Walt, her mother and father Harriet and Walter Johnston. Card of Thanks The family would like to thank Reverend Kasper for the comforting service, Maidstone Health Care Ladies for the lovely lunch, McCaw’s for their compassion and professional service and to all our family and friends for food, flowers, visits, cards etc. A big thank you to staff of the Pine Island Lodge for the care, compassion and love that was shown to our mom. Perhaps you sent a lovely card, Or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, If so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As any friends could say; Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much whatever the part.
